New Clients
Welcome!
Thank you for visiting! Starting counseling can feel overwhelming.
This page will tell you how to get started and what to expect.
Here, you will find information about
Setting up your
first appointment
You can request an appointment online, or you can choose to contact me, by email, by text, or by phone. Be sure to include a message and contact information so I can call you back.

After you request your appointment, I'll call you to see what you need and how I can help.

During this no-obligation consultation, we will talk about your concerns, how long this has been a problem, what your goals are, any questions you have, and whether counseling is right for you.

After our conversation, I will email you a link to your client portal. There, you will have some intake forms to complete – all secure, all paperless – so we can get started.

The intake process
The intake process is simple, but it does take time. You can read, fill out, and return all the intake forms electronically.
(If you wish, you can print a copy for your records.)

Consent forms provide important information about counseling, my practice and policies, telehealth, and your privacy. You will need to read these and provide an electronic signature to show your consent.

Intake forms include new client questionnaires, demographic information, and credit card information for you to fill out. These forms help me get to know you and your concerns, and allow us to set up payment.

Once submitted, all of your information is kept secure, confidential, and encrypted, in compliance with HIPAA and financial regulations.
